Product Overview

The DORMA RTS88 is a compact, overhead concealed door closer designed for seamless integration into a 1-3/4" × 4" aluminum frame header, as well as wood and hollow metal frame configurations. It provides a clean, unobtrusive appearance while delivering reliable performance for both interior and exterior doors.

  • Concealed Design: Installs within the door header, preserving architectural aesthetics.
  • Compact Body: Fits into a 1-3/4" × 4" header, adaptable to aluminum, wood, or hollow metal frames.
  • Adjustable Opening: Allows a maximum door swing of 90° or 105° (depending on model and trim).
  • Temperature-Compensating Valves: Separate sweep and latch valves maintain consistent closing speeds under extreme temperatures.
  • Pressure Relief Valve: Protects the closer mechanism from damage due to forced closures.
  • Cushion Feature: Built-in cushion at 90° or 105° reduces shock to the door, frame, and adjacent structure.
  • Weight Capacity: Supports interior doors up to 250 lb (113 kg) and exterior doors up to 200 lb (91 kg), including hardware.
  • Door Width Compatibility: Suitable for exterior doors up to 3'-6" (1067 mm) and interior doors up to 4' (1219 mm).
